Gallantyne Pictures is a production company engaged in the creation of original content for feature films, television, short films and comic books. Gallantyne was founded in 2003 by Bragi Schut Jr., a screenwriter and director.
Schut is the creator of the CBS series THRESHOLD, starring Carla Gugino and Charles Dutton, and has written numerous screenplays including THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER (Phoenix Pictures), GATCHAMAN, CRIMINAL MACABRE (Dark Horse) and an untitled project for director Roland Emmerich.
He is a recipient of the Academy Award Foundation's Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for his screenplay, SEASON OF THE WITCH, which was released in 2011 starring Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman.
Schut has directed three award winning shorts including CHARLIE THISTLE, an official selection to the Palm Springs Short Film Festival and prize winner at Nantucket, Sedona, Rushes Soho Shorts, AOF, Seattle Science Fiction + Fantasy, and The Doorpost Film Project. He was also chosen to participate in the Writer's Guild Showrunner Training Program.
